❤️ Building a Church That Reflects His Heart
Over the years, we’ve had many conversations about faith and noticed a common theme—many people know what the Church is against, but few have experienced what it’s truly for. Too often, people’s view of the church has been shaped by pain, judgment, or misunderstanding.
In recent years, that pain has only deepened with the exposure of abuse within churches—abuses of power, sexual abuse, and spiritual harm. This has deeply affected us—and it’s why we’re planting a church.
We believe in building something different: a church that looks, sounds, and loves like Jesus. A church marked by kindness, compassion, grace, and empathy—one that is louder about what Jesus is for than what He’s against.
We are committed to being a safe, trauma-informed, and healing-centered community—one that protects the vulnerable, restores the wounded, and creates a culture of safety, growth, and accountability.
Our vision is a church known not for judgment, but for extraordinary kindness—a place where the hurting are welcomed, the weary find hope, and lives are restored.
We believe God is calling us to build a church that truly reflects His heart.
We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
We are unapologetically centered on Jesus—His life, His teachings, His love, and His grace. Our mission is to help people meet Him, not to judge them before they do.
We are a church known more for what we’re for than what we’re against. We are for hope, healing, justice, truth, and grace, echoing the heart of Christ.
We extend extravagant kindness, love, and grace to all people, because that’s how Jesus responds to us.
We are a safe place for the broken, the burned-out, and the hurting - whether by religion, relationships, or life itself. Healing is part of our calling.
We prioritize real, authentic relationships. We walk with people through life’s challenges, listening before we speak.
We create environments where everyone feels safe to wrestle with questions and be heard—regardless of belief, background, or opinions. Everyone belongs, even before they believe.
We Believe:
That the Bible is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16) and desire to live lives that honor Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. It’s because of Jesus’ sacrifice that we are offered eternal life (1 John 2), and this life is a gift of God (Ephesians 2).
We affirm Romans 10:9-10, “If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
A great way to sum up what we believe is to read The Apostles’ Creed;
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
On the third day he rose again;
He ascended into heaven,
He is seated at the right hand of the Father,
And He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
*The word "catholic" in the Apostles' Creed refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal Church of The Lord Jesus Christ.
